In 2018, an original and very philosophical monument to the writer, poet, playwright, literary critic, historian, ethnographer, teacher, publisher, and public figure Panteleimon Kulish was unveiled near the Park of Kyiv Intellectuals. On the one hand, a stone block as a symbol of his rather conservative views, on the other - the interweaving of "light" metal rods of the writer's bust itself as a symbol of the many talents that he was awarded withnature. Today is the 200th anniversary of the birth of the author of the first Ukrainian historical novel, The Black Council, the first phonetic alphabet of the Ukrainian language, the first complete translation of the Bible into Ukrainian, and the first translations into Ukrainian of works by Byron, Shakespeare, and Goethe. In his work, he used many pseudonyms, and it seems to us that Kulish is not the least in terms of their number; we counted 37 of them. On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Panteleimon Kulish, Google posted a Doodle on its home page dedicated to this significant date.
