The work is a scientific report on the observations of the first archaeological explorations on the territory of Kamianets-Podilskyi, which were conducted in 1952-1974. Archaeological finds of a wide chronological range from the prehistoric period to the late Middle Ages are described, which is evidence of the ancient origin of Kamianets-Podilskyi and the continuous settlement of the Old Town Island. The work, supplemented by scientific commentary, is published for the first time.
